I finally got my Deadhead back from the DWR yesterday. He is 34" wide and scores right at 200".

I used to think of this shed as a pretty nice four point.

That's a great set I would restore them and maybe mount.

I don't even think "WOW..!!!" Says enough... What an incredible find. How great that you got it back so quick apparently...

It dwarfs your pile of bone there...!! Incredible.

Thats a friggin stud. Nice find, glad you got to keep it!

The voices in my head may not be real, but they have
some good ideas!

Wow that is impressive. For those of us that are not scoring experts, but are learning, that rack is a good example of mistakes we might make in the field. With that mass where it forks, you might misjudge just how many inches of fork is there. The forks look relatively small, but honestly may be as much as 3" longer than you would think. Of course with your excellent photo's you can tell as long as that deer was standing next to really any other non-mega deer you would know immediately what you had. I imagine that buck on the hoof was not average sized, which again might have made for somewhat of an optical illusion. If you have a score sheet handy of that rack it would be great to see it on here as a learning tool.

He scores 200 1/8 gross. I have a sheet that I will have to round up and post. The coyotes chewed off at least five inches. Definately one of my neatest finds ever.

Here are the measurements on the DeadHead.

RE: Big deadhead

Whats more impressive is what he looked like the year before. Went 224 and was 36-38 wide.

RE: Big deadhead

Larry,
That is biggest set of typical muley sheds I will probably ever get my hands on. Pictures don't even do them justice. It was sure fun seeing all those horns together.
