I think he is implying that anyone giving the Antelope Island hunt chit had better be equally critical of anyone paying a finders fee and herd of guides. At least, that is how I took it.

Congrats to the lucky tag holder. I sure do wonder how many of the negative Nellies would turn the tag back if they had it. Doubt any of them would.

I have been very criticle of the state park hunt from day one, and would say I have spent as much time as anyone watching these deer. The hunt can be as easy or as difficult as the hunter wants to make it. The two hunters will both kill bucks that will bring years of pleasure looking at them. Its a sure thing 220 inch buck hunt. The only one around. The gonna happen, so there is no point ragging on those that get to participate. Just have fun and enjoy this once in a lifetime experience for the draw guy.

i can't stand the fact that the uath fish and game would take two big bucks away from those poor starving coyotes out on that tiny little island ! i hope the guy who drew this tag feels terrible!

Sorry Joey it was not me who drew the tag. I do know the tag holder like a few others who have posted do also. I won't be posting his name. I will leave that up to him if he wants to. As far as him being a "real hunter", I would say he is.

Thanks FlyFool! Double darn. Thought i had figured out the mystery. Your comment did sound to me like you knew of, in defense of, me figuring it may have been yourself.

I hope who ever did win this tag will come forward and share with us of this story. My guess is there is or will be a lot of competition from different rags and mags, film and TV crews, to follow the hunt as well. It's his or her tag to do with as they choose but i'd be elated with it myself, be the lucky winner, and be wanting to share in it with my MM buds!
