No northeast this year

This forum is as good as it gets. I have been a non-posting non- participant for a year or so, reading the posts trying to get the flow etc. It is going to be a long summer. 6 family members put in for the Northeast general deer like always and only one drew. I knew there were 4000 tags cut and I can accept hunting every other year or so IF the quality improves and that is a huge IF. My brothers do not have faith in the current plan or the upcoming changes but I want to believe it can work. I guess scouting this summer for my little brother will have to help quench the craving for the hunt, that is we can get into the area before August because of snow. Thanks for listening and I will see ya on wolfcreek.

Yes, it's a crappy deal. Sorry that you guys didn't draw 50/50. We had 6 people enter and only one didn't draw so it looks like we beat the odds. It just bites that the "family hunt's" are all but over. I know we can all hunt together still, but it does diminsh the event.

Well, I got a lifetime tag and this is the first year since I was 14 I have nowhere to go. I guess I should get busy finding a new spot before the tag ends up wasted this fall. I wish I knew things were not going to work out in my usual spot so I could of put in for a different region.

I feel your pain! My wife,father-in-law, and sister-in-law all didn't draw the northeast either!!! What is really frustraiting is this is the second time in three years they didn't draw a general deer tag at all!!!!

I didn't draw this year, but my wife did and she is turning it back in because of her CWMU tag she has. Lucky I drew in Colorado and still have hopes for Wyoming.
