I killed a 165 with my boy there two tears ago drew rifle out there this year question is how far will these deer travel from the time of archery to early rifle seasons elev miles ect?
I don't think that they travel too far distance wise, but come the early rifle season most of the good bucks go into the P&J, become nocturnal and they become a lot harder to find come October.
I scouted the area 2 years ago in late Aug., Early Sept. for our early rifle tag and we could not locate any of the 6 or 7 "shooter" bucks we were exited about hunting.
that is what i am afraid of and that p&j is thicker than *#!! in most of that country has anyone had any luck further on the desert just trackin down an old buck in the sand?
