I drew Unit 119 Mule Deer and have been researching the area. It appears to be about 50% private but also some Hunter Access areas are available on that private land. Does anyone have any knowledge of access in Unit 119 and whether or not there is available public land to hunt? Appreciate the help.

Never been in that area, but I looked it up on my CD ROM and it looks more like about 2/3rds of it is public land. However, other than the eastern 1/4 of the unit, there doesn't appear to be much road access in the bulk of the unit. It may be an area where quads would be good to get back where they are legal and used properly or maybe even with horses to cover a lot of ground. I think it's supposed to be a good unit for nice bucks, so with plenty of preparation you will probably do okay.
