Bookcliff roads

Was wondering if anyone knows if the roads into the bookcliffs are open. I heard that the road in from Ouray was closed due to flooding. What about the Hay Canyon road from the south. Was hoping to go in scouting but now I'm wondering if you can even get in yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx!

I've heard from a few locals the road through Ouray is open again!

I don't care if they're big or small!
If they throw lead I like em all!
:p

I've had several Guy's tell me they opened it back up but:

2 days ago We got a good Rain storm and Damn did the Rivers ever rise, still lots of snow up high with lots of water content!

I looked at the Lake Fork & the Duchesne & the Strawberry Rivers first thing this morning & I'm telling You I've never seen Run-Off like this in July Ever!

Good thing these Rivers Intersect the Green River Down Stream of the Ouray Bridge or I'll bet they'd have it closed again!

Just got back from the books. Hay canyon and East were both open and dry. The roads were all great. Don't know about the north end though.

Hey thanx everyone for the help. I'm pretty excited for the the muzzleloader hunt this year and plan on doing a lot of scouting and taking a lot of pictures. I'll post them as I get them.

My brother goes through ouray every day for work he said that they had it opened back up, even if it is closed you can go from vernal and through bonaza and get in there from the north if you have to.
