Elk Ridge

I drew and Elk Ridge Archery tag this year. I am very familiar with the area, I just don't have the time to get down there until the end of July. Any of you guys had a chance to get there this year and would like to give me areas to start looking when I get there? I usually stay on the South end, but am planning on going to the North as well.

Well there's a new angle for you nontypical. A first poster that knows the area well that he's going to be hunting, but is asking where to go! Sorry, I've never been there and can't help.

Tell us the places you know first Hope to see you down there the end of July. You shouldn't have a problem finding a good buck or 5.

I do most of my hunting along South Long Point, Woodenshoe, Kigalia Point and down toward the old air strip. I haven't spent a lot of time around Horse Mountain but know there were some really nice bucks in that area during the muzzleloader season last year.

Those are all good places to start looking don't know that I would add to that list much, you only have one tag--just pick an area where there's a few good bucks and stick with it.
