One more time!

Well, I don't know what is going on. My photo is successfully uploaded to MM and I get the msg that it will appear in my post and it doesn't. Could MM possibly make it more difficult? Or, what am I forgetting to do?

After you load it you have to highlight the jpg. and then copy and paste it into your message.

Copy the file path and then preview your post to make sure you copied the right stuff. Good luck.

I've been a member for more than 10 years....I can't post pictures either. This really is not the most user-friendly picture-posting site. (No, I don't claim to be ANY good at this kind of thing.)

If you can handle that you can post pictures. I use Photobucket for my hosting. PM me if you need to and I can walk anyone through it. It has nothing to do with "this" site, it's internet 101....

I'll try a step by step and see if that will help:
1---After clicking on "Reply" go up above the message box that comes up and click on "CLICK HERE to upload your photo"
That will bring up the next boxes and click on "Browse". That will allow you to go to your pictures file.
2---Click on the picture you want to put on the post and open it. That will put it into the box to the left of "Browse"
3---Next click on the "Upload Photo" box and wait until the URL pops up below it.
4---When the URL pops up you will then need to highlight it and then do a right click and hit "Copy". Then minimize the window to go back to your message.
5---In your message box click with your left mouse button and then right click to bring up your selections again and click on "PASTE". The URL you have chosen should then appear in the message box. You can then go above or below it to type a mesaage like you always do, but make sure there is an open area at the start and finish of the URL so it is freestanding. Hit the post button and the picture should be in your message. If you have more than one picture, you do the same thing as stated, but make sure each URL is separated from any text so that it will be recognized as a URL.

This is the very reason I don't dink around with posting pics here. If we could just post a pic, I'd do it, but I'm not going through this to post pictures. Just click and attach - like every other thing I do with pictures.

Do like the previous post stated and take the comma out of the URL. Then your picture will appear in your post like the red box is in this post of mine. The red box tells me there is a picture there if I had the folder available that you do to bring it up.

ICMDEER---You are making it way more difficult than it is. I'm almost computer illiterate and it only took me a couple tries doing it to catch on and after you do it's like riding a tricycle. It's much easier than a lot of the other websites where I can't figure out how to put pictures up to this day.

gaetz---How did you come up with the picture? Did he email it to you to post? I clicked on the photo and hit properties and I see part of the URL is "blanding".

Thanks to everyone for helping me in posting photos...this process on MM is a lot more complicated than other sites I have posted photos on. With that said, I am gonna try posting another photo of the three bucks in a new post.

Also, thanks gaetz for posting the first photo.

TOPGUN-

I just cheated and copied the entire URL into my browser, then did a "save as" and saved it to my PC. Then from there, I opened my web-hosting site, copied it there, and then dumped it onto MM.

The pictures came through to me fine, but the URL still has that comma in them and I can't get them to post on here when I take the comma out and then load them in to post on the site, as all that comes out is the entire URL and no picture. I guess someone else with more knowledge than I have will have to post them. They are some very nice bucks and this is the first time someone has sent me photos to post that I can't get up on the Forums.

Nope; it doesn't come up, as that is exactly what is happening to me when I try to take the comma out or shorten the URL like you just posted!
