No doubt he's a great buck. I love the velvet too. The mount looks a little different to me. IMO It looks like the ears need to be adjusted. Regardless, congrats on a beautiful trophy.

how come he doesn't have a summer coat on, wrong cape for a velvet buck.

He had a 2" hole in the middle of his neck.
Besides that i like em slick grey right off the ugly red coat.

Seen many of bucks in the velvet with no red!

I know there was a really big buck taken on the archery hunt last year that went 200+ gross buck with extras by a guy hunting with a guide. I was just wondering if that was you.

Still a great buck and don't have a problem with being guided if it was you.

Great Buck, I'd let him come inside for sure.

My first archery buck was a velvet buck that had already lost 99% of his red hairs and had full winter colors. I didn't do a shoulder mount so I don't have a mounted pic but I do have a kill pic somewhere I'll see if I can find. I shot him in I think the first week in Sep.

No guide swbuck! I had my wife and 3 year old girl with me and they watched the whole thing go down a couple years ago.

Longun i understand i want a big typ hard horned buck! Drew elk this year and no deer so it will have to wait.
