Hey you said "bucks only". You snuck a cow and a rattler in there! Nice video...there was a buck or two I'd consider letting loose on in there.

Great video! Great to see all the bucks and the other animals! Thanks for editing it and posting!

JASON.......WAY COOL VIDEO, WITH SOME PRETTY GOOD BUCKS & MUSIC. YOUR MAKING ME CRAZY.....CAN WAIT TO GET OUT THERE. DID YOU KILL THE SNAKE ??? THAT BOOKS AREA LOOKS LIKE GREAT ELK & DEER HABITAT, I MIGHT EVEN DO SOME YOTE CALLIN AFTER MY BUCKS DOWN. TAKE ER EASY.........YD.

I really really enjoyed that! Great video, great editing. I know first hand how much time goes into a 3 minute video thank for putting that together and sharing with us. Now I got to go watch the other vids you have up.

What camera are you using? Looked great.

How'd you get youtube to let you use the music? I have a hard time getting alot of music past them.

Thanks ForkWest. I bought a laptop for school and only just found that I have Corel VideoPro 3 on it. So I started messin with it. It definitely takes a long time to edit, but it's fun.

I just had a JVC EverioS GZ-MS230. It's just a hand held but it's pretty nice. 8GB internal memory plus SD slot. 45X Zoom didn't look to bad on video either. I was happy with it. I had it mounted on a Cabela's window mount to keep it steady.

As far as the music- Corel has an "Upload to YouTube" feature so I just hit that and let the program do everything. So, I honestly don't know what it does, but I haven't had any problems yet.

The bad thing about Corel VideoPro is you can only put music into the program from a disc.

Nothing wrong with the video, but again LE units should have better deer on them, hopefully you can find something better than any of those deer, LE units you should be able to harvest 180 bucks, not 130-150 class bucks.
Its a shame how our LE are what our general season use to be like,

I agree cantkillathing- the truth about our scouting trip is this. Friday evening we drove clear over towards the roadless area and spent all of prime time seeing new country... Not my idea, but it was my dad's rodeo so I let it go.

Unfortunately, because of all that driving, we were also low on gas for the next morning's drive along the Divide Road. We only drove to the San Arroyo tower and then headed out to Fruita to get gas. That was at 8 a.m. so we barely looked for deer that morning.

Saturday evening, we drove north on Seep Ridge Road cuz we had never been there. Again, as far as deer, a total waste of time, but my dad wanted to see the country, see we went. We went so far north that he decided he wanted to just go ahead a drive home, so again, the rest of us conceded.

All in all, for literally 2 hours of driving and glassing, I thought we did okay. We know there are better deer there. 2 years ago, and last year we saw bucks in the 170"-180" range. I'll get some good footage of the hunt. Hopefully worthy of everyone's approval...

thanks for watching guys.

Cool video and some decent bucks. Not sure I agree with killing a harmless bull snake, but I understand some people have phobias :) I'll be interested to hear how the rest of the season goes, I have sufficient points to draw this unit.

It will be hard for me to pass the last buck on the video. That is a amazing amount of deer for such a short trip. I think when you get there and start seriously hunting you will find bigger deer. I don't have the video skills but I will post pics of my scouting trip next month

Sweet video!!!

That last buck looks like he'll be a shooter in anyones book :)

Cheers,
Pete
