Dutton or Beaver?

The big question for me would be......How well do you know either of those two units? Personally I like Beaver....:)

Heard the dutton has good deer. BUT, I can tell you in all of my scouting trips and 12 days through my LE elk hunt, I seen one shooter buck and two dinks was it. Not verry impressed with seeing three bucks total all summer. All the locals were saying the prior winter had killed most of the deer off.

One of the biologist I talked to is saying the same thing, 09-10 winter took it's toll. Maybe the Beav is the way to go? I'm going to be locked in to whatever unit I decide on for two years, hopefully all the trips I'll be making down South over the next couple months will make it an easy decision come next year.
Thanks for the responses guys.

If it killed em off on the Dutton it probably killed them off on the Boulder too? Did you guys hear anything about that?

I saw a few nice bucks on Boulder last year. They were in a spot where I usually see them. I hardly saw a doe though. Numbers were way down, but I haven't been over this year. Its funny how some years it looks like everything died off and then the next year things will seem far better, like nothing ever happened.

Hunted Boulder for deer last year... Deer numbers were way down, buck numbers too... I took the first 3 point I got close to... Only saw 2 better bucks, one was a real good one. Biologist told my family that's headin down there this weekend that there are more deer this year... But who knows till you've been...
