That's awesome guys- both are trophies in my book, especially with a bow...

General unit, private land or LE..?? A story to go with the pics would be cool too...

well it ll starts off with my buddy dj's buck it was sat evening and we were pretty much on our way out, we had been watching a group of sever bucks with two of them being outstanding all summer, well the hunt roles around and the bucks are now where to be found, we looked high and low all day, so with our heads hangin low we were headin to the barn, when all of the suddin dj says hey there is a shooter just joking around a bit when the buck turned sideways i said no really he is and you need to kill him, so we come down the hill a bit and there he is standing broadside no more then twenty yrds away, dj nocks arrow and lets it fly, to his dismay it sails ten feet over his back...... little did he know me and the boys had moved his sure loc to 145 yds lol long story shot the buck only moved ten yrds and was smoked on the next shot after a minor sight adjustment (he is still mad at me ha ha ha)
its dj's biggest buck to date rough scoring 159 7/8
next up my turn even after i told dj i was shooting first this year sice he had a bull and a buck dead before i even nocked a arrow last year..... sunday morning came pretty early simce we were up all night taking care of dj's buck, we got up the hill at first light and went straight over to where we had been seein those other bucks all summer just hoping they might be there, well no luck not a deer in the whole basin, i have no idea where they went and why they left, so on our way back down the hill we went with no bucks in sight well non that i wanted to shoot at anyway, when all of the sudden i looked back up the hill and there he was a nice buck that i thought was in the 175 to 180 range after lookin at him for a bit this deer did the strangest thing he took off bounding down the hill right towards us he made it about 80 yrds from us locked up the skidders and flapped right down in his tracks it was crazy, well lond story short we stalked in to 60 and i shot and hit a peice of brush on the way and missed high i couldnt beleive it,,,, well bummed out we went home for a afternoon nap and planned on being back up in the evening , that afternoon i swear took FOREVER, the evening came and we were back on the hill lookin for the same buck, i spotted him on a steep hillside bedded down in a perfect place for a stalk, i made my way over to him and had him at 43 yrds in his bed everything was going perfect still had plenty of light, the wind was a steady breeze in my face and the buck was clueless that i was there, that was untill a doe came in from brhind me and blow the whole mountain up ha ha ha, well with taht it was dark and we where headed home, big buck 2 me 0, well monday was a very long day at work with alot of thinking about what could have beens, well the evening came and it found us back up on the hill looking at the big buck right back in the same little sage flat on that steep hillside but this time he was up feeding so my stalk was going to have to be cut a little short this time, i made the stalk over and everything was falling in to place perfect the buck was feeding up hill right to me and now all i had to do was make the shot, the buck came up the hill and fed right to a bush i ranged at 64 yrds, with the steep angle of the shot i put my pin on 57 yrds and let her rip,,,,, the arrow was flying straight and true and in what seemed like slow motion when all of the sudden the loud crack pop bang of my arrow crashing into the rocks behind and over the bucks back ruinded everything, i had missed again i couldnt beleive what had just happened,,well the buck jumped and started over to anther tree that i had ranged at 71 yrds i hurried nocked a arrow drew and let her fly hitting its mark this time, the buck went 40 yrds and the rest is in the pics we roughed scored him at 190 3/8.......... im still floatin on cloud 9
