Wyoming Region K

I drew a Region K deer tag and am wondering what to expect. I will be headed up periodically in September to check things out. I did draw a few HMA areas including the medicine butte area for Oct 1-7. Curious what to expect and what would be a descent buck for the area.

The medicin butte is right out my back door I have scouted my tail off this year and have not turned any thing up over 170 but a 150 should be easy. send me a message and maybe we can find ya a good one.

I scouted this area in the past and the past two years pretty extensive. Last year was a decent year. I cant turn up a shooter buck to save my life. I usually try and bow hunt this area due to the tremendous amount of gun pressure. Doe and buck numbers are the lowest i've ever seen in that area. Be prepared to see several people in the canyon you are glassing. although i hear south of the interstate is a different story, but still lacking in numbers. Look forward to not seeing many bucks if any at all. There must have been a huge hunter success rate last year toppled by a big winter kill. no bucks that ive seen last year even showed back up. I sure the hell am not going to waste my time in that area this year or another tank of gas scouting.

Well that doesn't sound to promising. Hopefully things will start looking up rather quickly. This will be my first wyoming hunt, I'm hopeful with some hard work and scouting I can turn up a decent buck.
