50" of mass you say? No way in hell, thate deer doesn't have nearly 25" of mass per you're high.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-16-11 AT 03:46AM (MST)[p]I'd guess 40" of mass myself, 50 is really a lot. Awesome buck though, congrats.

50" inches of Mass?

Regardless, that is a super looking buck...And to have the velvet in tact is cool.
Congrats on a monster!

There are actually eight mass measurements. Four per side, but even at that, in order to get 50" every measurement would have to be 6 2/8". NO WAY that deer has that kind of mass.

Great deer though! That is for sure.

Awesome buck Cuz! Can't wait to see it on your wall!!

I'll have to pick your brain next year if I end putting in for it and drawing.

Good luck on your Dad's elk hunt as well. We wanted to come camp with you guys again but I am headed back to India on the 27th. :-(

Chat you later,

Jeremy

I shot a deer this year that was massive and it only had just over 5 on most of its mass measurements. You can see it and compare on mule deer forum, My general archery deer, Pee Wee. My deer scores just under 175. It actually has officially 40 inches of total mass.
Any way you look at it, great buck. Looks good. What state/unit?
Any archery animal is a trophy. Congrats.

If that buck has over 50" of mass then by god I do have deer over 200" on my wall!!! I want your tape, that way I can join the fabulous 200" club!! no freakin way that buck has 50" of mass, I think you would ##### your pants if you seen a buck that was packing 40" of mass!!!!!! Nice buck none the less, but just to maybe save you from embarassment in the future, you only get 4 mass measurments per side. The only way I get 50" of mass is if I measured your buck given him 6, 7 or even 8 mass measuremets????

Never said he was over 50 inches of mass! Had 3 guys score him and then I did myself.he has 45and 3/8 inches of mass!! I'm not embarrassed in the least bit and I sure would like to know what school you went to to know everything about deer. thanks to you guys who congratulated me on killing this buck! He is is a major stud!!

Nice buck! On the fifty inches of mass... on your other post you said it had fifty inches. May wanna edit that if you say you didn't say fifty inches. ;)

That buck does not not not have over 20" of mass per, sorry. And I didnt say it but congrats, and lastly you can't call a buck that doesnt break 190 a "major stud" its a rule.

Very nice Buck, Thanks for posting up a good buck and hey don't worry about the great photo scorer's. I think your score is about right.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

Any buck over 175" with a bow is a MAJOR STUD in my book. Congrats on a once in a lifetime archery Mule Deer. I don't know about 50" of mass but looks like a high 180's buck to me for sure. That is a buck any archer would be proud of. Congrats on a great accomplishment

I could care less about what a buck like that scores. All I know is that is one very nice deer. Congrats.. You got a hell of a good looking buck.

+1 the trophy is in the eye of the beholder

Wow Hornstar, who in the heck made the 190 rule to be called a stud? Never heard that one. You must run in a pretty elite crowd. That buck would certainly be a stud in my book as well as many others on here. 50 inches of mass no, but congrats on a Stud of a buck; bow or rifle.

does no one here have a sense of humor? Im being sarcastic, any animal with a bow is a trophy, you guys need to relax.

Hell even MassNTrash didn't have close to 50 inches of mass. And he was about as palmated as a moose. It is a Nice archery buck. Congrats to the hunter....But if you are getting that high of mass measurements, someone is doing something wrong with the tape. Log onto the B&C website, print up a typical mule deer score sheet and look at the diagram. The H measurements are taken at the smallest circumferences.

Just the school of how to read a tape! If your going to throw scores and measurments out, then I would suggest understanding how to score one. Im not trying to be rude, nice buck!!

What a great buck. Don't let the jealousy of the rest of these professional B&C scorers get to you. Congrats again on an amazing wallhanger.

Nice buck Big4 - you just about have to post the official measurement sheets directly from a B&C or P&Y scorer on here to make everybody happy. Hell, even then there will be some idiots who say "I doubt it..." So, you rounded up, big deal. That is a bigger deer than a lot of these people will ever see, let alone kill.

Great buck. Congrats.
