Desolation

Greetings fellow carnivores.

We drew the desolation unit in eastern Oregon for this years Muley hunt.

We have never drawn this unit before and so are completely unfamiliar with it.

It seems the far corner, the north east side is likely the best prospect, but we would greatly appreciate any tips or information.

I've seen some deer near Vinegar Hill. I saw a 30" 3 point with alot of mass in that area a few years ago. Some of the burns in that country have good numbers of deer too. Alot of high, steep and rough country in there. With this dry summer and fall, I would look high. Get off the road for the best sucess. Good luck!
