Great hunt

Well it all started when me and my dad spotted the buck in the late morning,when we first seen him he had full velvet on,so we watched the five bucks bed down,and made a game plan,we went on the back side of them,but half way up we spooked some does about three hundred yards away hoping they wouldnt spook the bucks.so we made it on top with the wind in our face the whole time,we crawled over and my dad spotted one buck then another,so we sat there for close to three hours,finnaly they started to move,all of a sudden we heard the big buck racking some bushes but never could see him.eventully one of the bucks got withen five yards of my dad for a while just feeding on a bush.so the buck finnaly smelt him and spooked taking the other bucks with him,but the big one was not with them.Eventually the bucks setaled down,so we waited and waited, finally they started moving out.Then out of nowhere came the big buck to join them,so my dad said its now or never,so he shot and 146 yards later here he is.I still cant believe he hit him.
what do you guys think he will score?

Very nice buck! Maybe 160".. im not very good at judging. Btw, diggin the camo! I stocked up on the Kuiu myself. How did the Kuiu work for you?

Great buck! So - while you were setting there waiting them out he rubbed the velvet off his antlers?? That is cool - doesn't happen like that too often. That is one good looking rack. Very symmetrical with good mass. I say that buck is in the 164-168 range. Great trophy!! Congrats to your dad for making a good 146 yard shot with a smokepole!

Great pic codster, and way nice buck! I love the fact that he's just nice and symmetrical, with awesome forks... nothing fancy (ie nontypical trash, etc.) ... just a good overall typical buck.

Thanks guys for taking a look at my buck.My son also did post it on the colorado forum.He just thought some of you guys that look at the mule deer forum might want to see it.Not trying to brag on the buck it is just a nice picture of a 171 mule deer.It is not in the same league as some of the deer that are going to be on here in the next two months.Good luck hunting to all you guys.
