LAST EDITED ON Oct-02-11 AT 10:42PM (MST)[p]My 7 year old son Tyson, my Dad, and I hunted Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this past week...we saw very few bucks, and nothing very big over those few days. This has been a really tough year around the cabin to find bucks, they all seem to be very spread out and down lower on the bordering property because of the mass amounts of water down there. Anyways Saturday morning this buck came within 50 yards of us and since my son was there to watch the whole thing go down, my dad took the shot and put the buck down. At first I didn't want anyone to shoot this deer but seeing how excited my son was tracking the blood, finding the buck, watching us cape and quarter it...I'm not worried about it at all!! My dad has always been my favorite hunting partner because of how much fun hunting was for me as a kid, I'm sure Tyson feels the same :) this is one hunt I'll never forget with my Dad and T-Man...I hope we all have many more to come!!

That buck has a lot of character. My bet is that it winds up in your son's room. Thanks for sharing.

Great story and great buck Zac! Thats exactly what needed to happen for Tyson and your dad, not to mention you. Hunting with my Dear Ole Dad (grandad) are the most cherished memory's I have, you can't go back and make them so good for you guys for taking advantage of the opportunity now.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-03-11 AT 09:23AM (MST)[p]I shot a 2 point last year with Kole after he talked me into it. I don't regret shooting it and I know it was a Big deal to him.

Now it is to me too...
