Drop Camp Hunts

Hey guys Im trying to get together a high elevation drop camp hunt for myself and my father for next year and I was hoping to get some input from people on here. Just wondering if anybody on here has done one of these before and could recommend an outfitter. Or if anybody has any good referances of outfitters to talk to. Im looking for somewhere that we can hunt next fall and somewhere that has the camp already set up and pre-scouted for the us. These hunts are unguided so if anybody has any recommendations let me know, Thank You.

What state are you thinking of hunting in?

Im not really 100% sure. Im leaning towards a state that i can get a tag for next year. I dont have preferance points in any state except 1 in Utah. Ive been looking alot at Idaho and a little at Wyoming. If you have any suggestions for a good hunt for us that would be great.

What you might want to do is check some of the outfitters that have adds here plus go to the Wyoming F&G and buy a prefrence point this year and then you'll have 2 points for next year and improve your odds for the draw next year

Just be careful.
I always figured that if the country the outfitter was dropping you into was so good, he's be running clients through it himself.

I agree with the above. What outfitter in his right mind would put you in an area that he could sell for more money to a guided client. And I would never get an outfitter to drop me in one of my good spots because then he would return with clients and burn out my spot. I know both of these are true from experience.
