I have a nice piece of private property to hunt but I really wanted to get out and see some new country. my father in law, bro. in law and myself went up. hour drive 3 hour hike and we had a vast canyon nearly to ourselves. about 10 other hunters 2 of which where about 100 yards behind us hunting to out backs. they shot right after day light a 28-30 inch 3 point. Its a nice buck that i would have put my ded. hunter tag on. we saw about 25 deer, 5 bucks. most of the bucks were 15-18 inch forkies and one 3 point that was probaly 18-20.had a shot on most but not worth the ded. hunter tag on opening day! anyways off to morgan until next weekend when we plan on packing back in and camping over the weekend.. good luck to all you guys out there, and guy who shot the big 3 point today, congrats!
