My sweet hunting partner killed this drop tine buck opening morning of her San Juan deer hunt. She waited 12 years to draw the tag and couldn't resist this beautiful buck first light. He is a 6x9 that rough scored 183, I couldn't be more proud of her.
Good job babe!

Congrats Misty!!!

Good thing Kylor didn't slow you down too bad. Congrats to both of you, that deer is awesome!

Stud of a buck !! It's already been said ..so here goes. She's welcome at my campfire any day or night !! haha ;-)

Nice buck! Thats a great picture with her packing it out. Sure wish I could get my wife to hunt with me. Consider yourself blessed!

Congrats on a beautiful buck. I like the nontyp's a bunch. I WANT ONE JUST LIKE IT!

First of all awesome deer! Love those bucks with junk in the trunk!

Just curious, hope that rifle was unloaded when you took the photo of it pointing towards you?

Not being critical, but as a hunter ed instructor I tell the kids about that kind of things. Safety first!

Again awesome deer..and she packed it out! Doesn't get much better than that.

Don I thought I might get a comment on that picture, and yes it was unloaded. I unloaded her gun for that reason alone, I wouldn't want a great hunt and memory to go bad by a bad decision. She is still on cloud 9 and showing off her buck to everyonr that comes by.
By the way thanks for teaching our youth what the outdoors is all about:)

You bet, I'm glad to do it. They are, after all the future of our sport.

I was hoping that you wouldn't take offense to my comment about the gun. I'm kinda particular about safety, and bloody shots, tongues hanging out, arrows stuck in critters and adults or kids riding elk.

This is a great buck and story, and like you say, hate for something to go wrong that would mess that up.
