I remember it. That was back in the early days of the MM big buck photo contest and you had to give a 'thumbs up' to prove it was from that year.

As I recall the story he lay in the snow for a couple hours waiting for the buck to stand up and present a shot. One of the best great deer posted on this site.

That has to be more than 7-8 years ago. That was the picture that made me keep coming back to this site over and over again. Id guess it is 10 years old or so. I still think it is the best looking buck Ive ever seen on here.

His kid had that same pic on the back of his phone. Pretty sure its the same buck but could be wrong. I emailed my buddies to confer. I didn't see any deer hanging in his camp. I think he went home empty handed

I'd place money after the 4th season hunts are done You'll see many Colorado Units in real sad shape.

The way I remember it the binos he won were not from this site, but from another web-contest. The reason I think this is that he asked folks from MM to go and vote for him, which he probably would not do if it were a MM contest. At least that is how I remember it all these years later.
