is it just me? i didnt think so! were sick of hearing people defend cougars. your on a site dedicated to trophy mule deer! if you want to see a cougar go to the zoo! i gut shoot every dam cougar i see! that goes for coyotes, poachers and wolves too! Here in utah its time to help out our deer herds, if we leave it up to the state, ,it will all be rich mans land, over run with predators. We should all be defending our deer, and our land by killing the predators and tearing down posted signs.

wow. you must get a lot of shootin in then....just how many cougars have you acually seen and shot? must be a pile of them.you got any pics of them?
 
Ya it is pointless to blame predators on this sight. But the same people will say that wolves are killing everything in other states. But how dare you blame lions. And dont even blame bear either they only eat berries and grass...
 
Ummm....if you tear down a posted sign on someones property and go shoot a deer on it, technically you are poaching.......so I hope no one gut shoots you.

As for the cougars... I shot one in the eye once.
 
So I take it the people who are upset must not love mule deer. Maybe even private land owners who think you own my mule deer well I pay my taxes and it states they are mine. Your private property is the breeding ground for lions and high dollar dbs who think they are great hunters, it would be like me going to the zoo and killing african game and claiming it in trophy hunter magazine, and I'm guessing your the same people who shoot forkie after forkie year in and year out post them on mm scratching your head wondering why you never see big deer but yet you are always posting on mm posting negative on peoples posts that do love mule deer. If like predetors post on a predator forum somewhere. It sounds like you are a proud supporter of poaching. If evryone did as myland suggested there would be tens and thousands more deer in utah. And let me guess now your going to say I'm not seeing good deer cause I am not hunting hard enough. Well you'd be wrong there cause all I've hunted this past six years have been monster mule deer and this year I've only hunted enough good bucks to count on one hand and I'm 24 and in excellent shape and own the best of swarovski glass man can buy the deer herds suck bottom line don't listen to the fish cops after all they allowed congress to steal upwards of 65 million to reintroduce wolves that the states who do hate.

Thanks. I think reading this post just made me a little dumber. I think most of the guys you are insulting are fine DIY hunters. All of my kills have been on public land. You obviously haven't seen any of them. Maybe you should go shoot a forkie. It might lighten your mood up a bit. I have no problem with killing predators, but your little jealous rants about private land sound almost fascist to me. Maybe you should get some Leica's if your not finding any with the Swaro's? Whats that got to do with anything. If you don't know where to find them or how to hunt them, being 24 and in shape obviously won't help you in the slightest.
 
if myland is gut shooting every cat he comes across then he is a poacher himself. I'm all for building the herds but being a Douche bag saying your going to tear down signs, gut shoot lions and poachers, well you better watch your back cuz you'll get gut shot yourself.
Private ground is most the reason we still have decent deer left. Why? Because they manage the herd and only shoot a limited number of animals unlike the state ground.
So grow up and quit acting like mr. badass jackass or you'll face reality real quick
 
Don't worry darktimber I know how to hunt them ill kill a lot of good deer in my day. And I've killed a pretty nice buck with my bow. I've done alright so far I archery hunt and I get on good deer quite often I know how to glass. I'm willing to eat a tag to get a crack at a good one the next year and myland has killed some great deer chances are you've seen him and some of the trophies he's killed. Have a nice day.
 
IMHO, the OP and anyone like tines that backs him up in regards to openly stating they would violate game laws and destroy private property should be banned from this website!!! ENuff said!!!
 
myland, I'm not a fan of cougars myself; nonetheless, this post was bad enough that you might need to retire the "myland" handle and come back with a different name and a new start. :)

And then if you gut shoot all poachers too does that mean you gut shoot yourself? Must be painful.

What about elk? Isn't their increase in numbers also partially responsible for the mule deer decline due to competetion for habitat? Might as well gut-shoot a few of them too.

@cantkillathing: There is a alot of differences between a lion and a wolf. The biggest one however is that the wolves do not belong here. They have been gone for along time. The ecosystems have adapted over the past 60 years to having no wolves. Now all of a sudden a different invasive species of wolf has been INTRODUCED (not reintroduced). So I can understand how it could sound hypocritical to want to eradicate wolves but then want to save lions, but logically it doesnt work the same.

What I really can't believe is that it hasn't been taken off this site for openly stating that a member advocates breaking a number of laws! It would seem that a Moderator would have deep sixed it before some of the other stuff nowhere near as radical that has been deleted.
 
Breaking the law never furthered a good cause. The whole gut shooting thing is what will bring more protection to lions. You my friend are a real piece of work. Keep listening to yourself talk.
