Guys,
I was hunting in mill creek today and found a dead buck that someone surely would like to have back. It doesn't appear he has been there long but is eaten up. This deer is way above average width and has a very distinct rack. Let me know if you it one and with a description and I will lead you right to it. If I don't get any takers I will be trying to acquire the head through legal channels as it is a very neat deer.

That is good of you to post this and try to find the right person, can you definitely tell that it was shot?

XPB and ADDICT I sent you both PM's but none of it is good news. I wish you luck in finding your critters.

Tikka I am not sure if it was shot or not. There was no arrow in it and the coyotes have done a good job of piking it pretty much clean. The hide side that was left didn't seem to have a hole but it is hard to tell. I will post a pic at the conclusion.

DAMN!!!! Thanks again for hooking someone up! Thats what this site is about.

"You skin grizz?"

There was someone talking about a buck with a messed up track a while ago. Sounds like a sick buck that bit it. I'll see if I can find the thread that described the buck that you may have found.

Nah, those areas are miles apart with Cities in-between.

Sit tall in the saddle, hold your head up high, keep your eyes fixed to where the trail meets the sky...

I hope you post a picture soon.

Well!

I hate to admit this Guys!

But I was Huntin the Extended here in NE Utah when I stumbled upon a Buck that blew My Mind!

I Flung all my Good Arrows(with Montechs!) & never touched a Hair,All I had left was a couple of Back-Up Mechanicals so I let em Fly,first one missed, last damn Arrow I had hit him a little far back!

I tracked him for 7 days & 8 nights,to Red Creek, then Currant Creek, then Strawberry, then Daniels, then Jordanelle,as I crowned out on Parleys I lost him,I'm perty Sure He was out of Blood & I'll bet I was fairly close to where He expired!

I'm perty sure this is the Buck I wounded, just didn't wanna Chime in for all the Hell I'd catch here on MM!

Please Post a Pic & I'll let you know rather this is the Buck I Gut Shot with a Mechanical & Thanks!

Hot Dog,Hot Damn,I love this Ameri-can

Well nobody has claimed the buck so I will post some pics of it. He is a very unique buck as stated before and by the rough measurement of my alphamax 35 his is a little over 34" wide.
I am going to go back and get some better pics of him as my camera was dying the first time. I will be contacting the DWR next week in hopes of recovering the head.

Enjoy,

Also forgot to add, good on your efforts to try to find the hunter! Not many people would have done that.

right on. if itis not a 4 point get it out of gene pool?/''how can you be a big buck killer with deer like that around,,,gene pool my azz...

Deerlove, there was no arrow or a sign of an arrow hit but with the state of the buck I would be unable to tell if there was a paunch shot on it.

Well some times a good deed does go unpunished. I now have the head sitting at my house with the legal paperwork to have it.

I will have to get some better measurements of it for you guys but he is 34 3/4" wide with main beams over 30" long and his G-2 is 18" long. Very excited to have him in my hands. I will also get some better pictures up.

A big thanks to Mike roach and John at the division for working with me and helping me out.
