Big and unique, 180" 4x2 with a 35" outside width

LAST EDITED ON Dec-10-11 AT 10:26AM (MST)[p]

3 LEGS,38" TIP TO TIP SPREAD
This buck was missing 10" of his right rear leg and had lived at least 3 years without it.The manager of the ranch this buck was killed on had been trying to harvest him for several years, they named him the pegleg buck.Aparently he was fairly easy to locate during the summer but as hunting season approached he disappeared.I spotted him on the tip top of a big open ridge bedded in a rock pile where he could look down over the ranch and watch both sides of the ridge,he was laying in the pile in the pic where he could look over the top right down at the ranch headquarters.I made a LONG stalk starting on the end of the ridge and ran the top of the ridge keeping part of his rock pile between us,got to within 50 yards of him before I could see him and shot him in his bed. They figured his leg had been shot off but nobody really knew for sure.

That is a BIG buck muledeer13. You must have some mixed emotions about that one! On one hand he is super cool, but it sure would have been nice for him to have matched up. You'd have a giant 200+ typical! That 4 pt side is awesome.

Muledeer13 we saw a buck very similar to yours on 54 in CO in 06 do you mnd saying if it could possibly be him?Look out Forkie, FTW is watching us!

Muledeer13,
I saw a buck exactly like that this year on the Wasatch Front, about 3 weeks ago.

I don't think there is any other quality
so essential to success of any kind as the
quality of perseverance. It overcomes
almost everything, even nature.

I killed this old bugger in 2010. I had watched him for a few years but he went underground on me for several years. Thought maybe he had cougar killed. But nope, just got old hanging out in the thick crap.

I picked up a shed off of him in the spring of 06. It is from the 04/05 season.

Not mine, nor a big buck; but a unique one: 2001 "Pioche Sewer Pond Buck"...I understand selenium deficiency may have caused disfigured antlers. Pretty unique buck...

LAST EDITED ON Dec-11-11 AT 05:17PM (MST)[p]Yeah there where definantly mixed emotions on my buck, he's a monster as is but if he would have been a straight 4 point he would have grossed right around 220"! I killed him a few years back in summit county, Utah.
