Save a doe,... kill a coyote!

I'll beat this dead horse some more.....

I was up on Saturday(not hunting) checking on a great looking front buck I couldn't close the deal on this year. He was alive and well and I was happy to see him still pushing does and healthy as ever. Saw more bucks than does that morning and I was surprised by the amount of hunters/pressure on the does.

I am all for hunting opportunity, but if we want more deer in the future, we need to stop killing these late season potentially bred does. I wish the DWR would cut the extended hunt off completely on NOV 30 each year. Let the pressure on the deer subside so they are healthier for the winter weather.(not much weather this year, but you get my point)

I had a nice mature male Yote come out 180 yards across the draw from me. I should have been packing a rifle and smoked him. I will next time.

Save a doe... kill a Coyote!

Tards will be Tards and kill the does. Then wounder what the crap happens to all the deer. I found 2 Tards yesterday on suncrest hunting does when I was out looking for deer. Its only a couple miles outside the boundaries and in city limits but im the b-hole for telling them they can't hunt there.

I also can't believe how many people are out trying to fill their tag. Its not even a fricken joke anymore. It simply needs to stop!

you can't blame the hunters for wanting to fill their tags. Blame those that issue the tags. Its funny SW, not much more then a year ago you were saying the front is the greatest place to hunt and that the herd continues to explode because hunters can't control the numbers on the front. Only winter kill brings the numbers back down. What's the difference now?

What's the difference now?

Ten times the number of doe wounders and doe killers as in years past!
Also all it takes is one bad winter! Last year was bad! Ive alwasys said this. Winters will control the population for the most part. You can't control nature. The doe slaughter that has been going on for the last three years is making a huge dent as well. Probably just as bad as one bad winter. I say the last three years because in the last three years the sheer number of guys going out shooting does has increased 10 fold.

Hunters are to blame imho as well as the dwr. If I had my way I would never hunt the animals to extinction but at the same time I want to maximize opportunity to hunt. If you haven't got that out of my post then I don't know what to tell ya.

I've never said anywhere I agree with doe hunts! I have said cow hunts are sometime necessary but that's it.
The front is still better than any rifle general area in this state for trophy bucks! It just sucks Tards/dwr are trying to ruin it by killing the does!

I have also said archery is the only way to maximize opportunity with the least affect on quality! Ill still stand by my statements.

If you kill a coyote make sure it's a female because I did the calculations on the removal of one female yote and saving one doe. It comes to 62,593 deer saved, give or take a few road kill yotes and does, over a 5 year period.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-13-11 AT 09:22PM (MST)[p]I've saved 500744 doe this year alone...Does that give me a free pass to shoot a doe?
