I've always wanted a big ol Ram and have been putting in every year for 25 years + but between them, I'd take that buck!

It's probably to low for Horn_Star's standards but I thought you guys would like it :)

The buck keeps getting bigger the more you really look it over!!

There's nothing wrong with those two trophies!
Who are the hunters? What State? Did they kill on the same trip?
Thanks for the photo.
Zeke

LAST EDITED ON Dec-19-11 AT 09:50AM (MST)[p]Just a question. The buck already has what looks like an interstate game tag. The skull looks cleaned. What's the story behind having both critters there, together at the same time? And yes, I am jealous. What incredible trophies!

>Yes you can buy desert sheep
>and big muledeer as well..
>BH1

True, you can buy a desert sheep but that's not a desert sheep....it's a rocky.

Son

Im guessing a utah rocky, probably off the range creek unit, at least thats what the picture comes from.
Where did the deer come from? Colorado?

that buck is so amazing! dream buck there! congrats to the hunter, would love to know what state.....

Since Greg was in Mexico the week before he killed the ram, I'm guessing sonora buck.

All I know is those split beams are killer, G3's and G2's are killer, MASS is killer...Huge is an huge understatement!!

I'm with Eel, I can't see a sheep either!

All I see is a MONSTER MULEY!!!!!

Bill

Look out Forkie, FTW is watching us!

Somebody should probably explain to Horn_Star that its a mule deer...so he stops wondering. Any comment he has about that sheep, he'll say behind closed doors....to that "real pretty mouth".

I'd say horn_star could could be in a little trouble. Last few days have been pretty quiet around here.

H_S is probably laying in the drunk tank somewhere?? Seriously, I thought for sure he woulda come on here by now to make fun of this buck...

You know hot star he lives by the mantra, "if you don't have something chitty to say dont say nothing ar all."

238 gross 232 SCI and high 220 -low 221 B&C. It will be interesting to see its official score. It's a monster...everytime I'd look at the horns I would literaly think to myself those can't really be that big! Well, they are.
Son

Thanks!! Yes, a monster. I was one of if not the first to say that i'd take the buck over the ram. Thought i'd take a bunch of crap for saying that but i could see then what a outstanding Muley buck he really was. Nice, way Nice!!

Well if people give you crap for it, they'd be giving you hell for liking what may be the new #1 buck-typ SCI and possibly #2 B&C

What can you say about a buck that big. He's a MONSTER MULEY.

That deer is a big sumbitch for sure!! Last year, jvw here on MM, killed that 42.5" wide, high 230's to 240" typical on the AZ Strip...no other two bucks killed have impressed me as much as John's AZ monster and this one Greg took, since Sampson was killed. Being typicals though...they're just as big as a 300"er to me!!

~Z~

I agree N_C, love those huge typicals!!

I'm here always taking a glance at a copy print somebody made for me of seven bucks, a Kings creation i believe, all huge Monster Muleys. The far left buck is a huge typical, 40"+, with several small kickers on each side but his frame is so awesome, he looks typical. Does anybody know the history and actual numbers of that buck? He's a breath-taker!

Yes, i believe that's it. The buck on the far left. Almost to big and too pretty to be real! What's his story... if you please?

Joey

Score: 262-5/8 Non-typical
Owner: D. Winch***
Date: 1980's
Location: Utah
Spread: 40"
Points: 18
Remarks:
One of the largest mule deer ever taken, this muley also makes it in the typical class scoring 199-6/8 net. The main frame is also one of the largest. If not for the extra points it would be the world record typical.

***Niote, the information above is accurate except when it deals with ownership. The buck has and still belongs to my very good friend Dr David Meyer. He acquired it a few years ago and Tory Brock remounted it. It now hangs in Dr Meters cabin in Germantown TN. I have pictures of it there with several others, I'll see if I can find them and post them up.
