Friends a call flood is needed, please take a few minutes and call the contact number that is on this webpage which explains what is happening. Help stop these fascist, emphasize the *free market* support for *local rooftop solar* energy production instead of these fascist, oligarch purchased powerlines. This power company will be getting 1/4 $Billion in tax dollars!! (think Solyndra, socialize losses) Hundreds of thousands have been spent in lobbying (bribes) http://www.cascabelworkinggroup.org/SZbrochure.html contact Adrian Garcia (see link) all the proposed routes besides the San Pedro to include 2 rows of powerlines, 16 stories high and a 1 mile wide right of way for future expansion run through AZ public lands deer habitat.

I wouldn't get too excited about supporting the Cascabel Working Group since they declare they are closely affiliated with groups such as Defenders of Wildlife, Center for Biological Diversity, Natural Resources Defense Council, Sky Island Alliance and other eco-wackjob organizations we are fighting on so many other fronts. I would gladly take a power line corridor in exchange for re-introduced wolves and 5 million acres of "protected" lands closed to hunting.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-24-12 AT 04:15PM (MST)[p]it doesn't have to be "either or" stopping this tax ripoff boondoggle does not mean you support the other eco wackos. 2 rows of 16 story powerlines with a 1 mile wide right of way for future expansion. It's not needed, local clean energy can be created. I am witnessing what this project's tiny little baby brother, the Sunrise Powerlink is doing to our wilderness in San Diego County, it's ugly. People are very regretful they supported that project and let it get started. Whatever happened to roof top solar and efficient energy retrofitting. There is no logic to this project at all. Destroy habitat so the corrupt can get wealthier at everyone elses expense and disregard simple effective solutions. We need to act it's the ethical thing to do.
