Outfitter Deer Draw opens,ONLINE,Wed. Feb.15th and runs through Mar. 11th.Results back by end of March ...0-4 bonus points can have a GOOD chance to draw the BEST rifle deer hunts in Nv,where in general April draw a n.r. can wait 8-12 years to draw same rifle deer hunt in the Silver State.Check it out and hunt "MULEYS" in Nv. in 2012 ... Hey Bruce - can you still apply for up to 5 hunts? Seems a bit like a PITA to have 5 different guide agreements, but you have to play the game and odds into your favor. I'm sitting on 4 NR points and started looking at guided draw odd this year.

Also, is the guided draw the same as the "regular" draw in that all the applications are stacked up like a deck of shuffled cards (per the Huntin' Fool description) they they start drawing the cards from the top and looking at each applicants 5 picks before selecting the next application?

This systems seems to be a plus for those who don't have lots of points. There are certainly a few top units that are pretty much a slam dunk as long as they consider your application.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-15-12 AT 04:33PM (MST)[p]Yes you get 5 choices,,but these are on Your application,either Online or Paper from only (1) Master Guide in Nv.As in the general draw a applicant still gets computer picked random number and this number is used for Your chance in the draw,More B.P. more chances at that low number ... in Your case with 4 B.P. and Nv. squares these numbers 4X4 would be 16 chances.In the Outfitter Draw 4 B.P will usually get You a good chance at a Late deer tag,ending on or around Nov 5th = "RUTTING MULE DEER BUCKS".Great draw odds on this n.r. rifle deer hunt,as the pool of applicants is very low,compared to the General draw in April.This draw is not a sure thing,but in the past 3 yrs. My clients have drawn between 60-88 % of the time,in the best Big Buck units in Nv.Good Luck in your choices of draws ... Bruce & SilverGrand
