Here's a buck I saw in mid-July. Sorry for the poor quality pics.they were taken through my scope at over a mile away.
I think I may have messed up on not going after this buck. He's pretty good for a general season Utah buck. The problem was that he was in a very heavily hunted canyon and I was sure he would get blown out of the canyon or shot. I never did hear if he made it or not.
What's your guess on score?

He looks like about a 168" buck... minus the G4 on one side... I'd say he'd go 159"

LAST EDITED ON Feb-13-12 AT 05:10PM (MST)[p]first guess was mid 170 gross, then looked at the weak fork on the right side. I think its a mid to high 160 gross buck now.

Oops, I guess my post left a little too much to the imagination. I'm sometime a little short on words and detail.
Reminds me of the time I stopped and asked a farmer in March(hoping to find some sheds) if he'd seen any good bucks in the foothills lately and he yelled at me from wanting to hunt that time of year.lol

The buck does have good G-4s on both sides. His right side has a lobster claw, the gap between the G-4 and main beam is only about 2". I'm guessing his G-4s are both about 8-9" long. You can see it best in picture #3.
I was thinking he was a solid 170 class buck. I heard that some archery hunters were after a mid 180s buck in this same canyon and wondered if it was this buck or maybe another one.
Any other guesses? knowing he does have both G-4s.
