Got my deer back!!!

Just got my deer back from my friend that is a Taxidermist. I think he did a great job. I shot my deer on monday morning of opening weekend at 10 AM. Tracked him from 11 am till 5 pm when the 2 guys with me got heat exaustion and a migrane. Only had gone about 400 yards through the THICKEST crap ever. Had to get the guys off the mountain. So I came up the next afternoon because of work. Found him less than 50 yards from where we stopped.

Then the Antelope is from Wyoming. One of the best and funnest hunts I have done. Had my 7 yr old with me. It was his B-day and he wanted to come with me instead of a bday party. I was excited.

Here are some close ups of the detailed work he does.

It was a fun year. I just hope I can have another year like this one in the near future.

Deer scores 174 and the Lope scores 74.

What area did you get that goat in? Looks alot like one I had spotted south of town here. Mounts look good where is your friend located?

Beautiful work by your taxi. Great rack on that muley and prongs on that lope. Way to go.

Nice!! Great looking mounts. That is exactly how I want my pronghorn to look (when I get one!). Lots of character - I wouldn't care what he scores, but I'll be he scores pretty high. Great buck too - great job on the tracking. That is the way it goes - run your crew down before you find them sometimes. Congrats on a great year and a couple of great reminders of those memories.

Nice buck, that one looks similar to a buck I missed last year during the youth hunt here in nevada so hope he is even bigger and can get him with my bow. I am still looking to get my first bow buck and my standards are high but lot of bucks in that range that I can get up on they just want to go the WRONG way!

Are you sure about that score..??? That buck looks like he's got at least 12" on my 171" buck... 174" NET even seems low to me...

BrowningRage, It seems like he might score more and her might. I am not that good as scoring deer. But the thing that is deceiving about this buck is that his inside spread is only 20 inches. He is a tall and narrow buck. Good tine length, good mass, but narrow.

A litle bit of width and he would break my goal of 180 inch buck. My goal is to get bucks in the 170, 180, 190, and the infamous 200 inch ranges. 1 down, 3 more to go!!!
