Winner Score Contest 7 (2012)

As I tried to score this buck up in the shop I kept coming up with 185 in my head. This buck didn't quite get to the 180 mark, but don't be fooled it is one of the prettiest bucks I have seen. A little more inside credit and mass and Skyler's buck would have hit in the mid 180's. Congratulations again on a great buck with your bow.

He's definitely a beautiful buck and I thought sure he was easily in the mid 180s before I even got the score sheet started. I don't know that I've ever tried to score a good one in the velvet and think that's why I gave him a little more than I should have on several measurements. Thanks for another good contest and mount and to the hunter for a great trophy!

Finally - got one in the black! Only an inch and a half off. Can't wait for npaden to post the updates! I'll bet this puts me in the top 200!! Whoo hoo!! Game on!

Going through my guesswork for contest 8 and here's what I had on #7.

C1 - 5
C2 - 4 4/8
C3 - 4
C4 - 4

MB - 24 4/8
G1 - 2
G2 - 18
G3 - 9
G4 - 9

IS - 18

Total 178

I added the 5/8" just to keep from entering an even number.

A little short on the G3 and G4 and a little long on the Main beams but it all worked out in the end! ;-)
