Okay, here are the unofficial official results through Contest 11.

http://www.padens.com/files/MM_Contest/MMScoreContest2012thru11.pdf

I went ahead and left everyone in on the spreadsheet even those who haven't entered enough contests to qualify so they can see where they are. After you get to the bottom of the ones eligible for the contest they are sorted strictly based on which contests they have entered and then based on alphabetical order, so don't think the guy listed at 345th place is any worse than the guy listed at 241st place, they all have an n/a in the net column so they aren't sorted for the total contest.

Here's an explaination on how the contest and the spreadsheet works.

You get to drop the worst 3 scores if you enter all of the contests. If you miss a contest that counts as one of your drops.

The spreadsheet simply totals the score differences for each contest and that's what goes in the total column. That is your gross difference. Then it counts the number of contests that the user has entered and puts it in the "Cnt" column. Based on the number of contests entered, it calculates how many drops that person has and puts that in the "Drp" column. Next the spreadsheet calculates the largest misses and puts them in order in the "Large 1", "Large 2", and "Large 3" columns. Then checks how many drops that person gets and removes the largest drops that it can to get to the net. If you don't get 3 drops it still calculates them and puts them in those columns, but when it calculates the net score it only takes away the ones you are eligible to drop.

Still getting a lot of participation this year compared to last, 209 folks are still in the running on the contest with 355 different folks who have entered at least 1 contest. We did get a little drop off on these last 2 contests, but I think they still had more participants than any of the contests last year.

One thing I mentioned on the contest thread, the B&C system doesn't have 1/3rds or 1/5ths. If you enter 1/4 or 1/2 I enter that as .25 or .5, but if you put down 1/3 or 2/3 or 1/5 I assume you made an error typing in the number and meant for it to be 1/8, 2/8, etc. and that's how I enter it. Hopefully this won't ever be a problem with someone winning or losing a contest, but PLEASE enter your guesses on an even 1/8 fraction. I can deal with the 1/4 and 1/2's but not the 1/3rds and 1/5ths.

Lastly, I've had a few duplicates slip through the cracks in my system (that's my job) so double check that too. This week there were 3 duplicates that I caught so hopefully that was all of them.

Okay, I think that's everything.

Good luck everyone!

Thanks, Nathan

Congrats to jabber who climbed into the top spot this week. His spot there is still pretty precarious though with a 14"er already in his drop column.

Idahosmitty and Browningbar23 took some pretty big hits this week and dropped down from 1st and 2nd to 8th and 11th.

I actually made some progress this week and climbed up to 12th finally. I had dropped way down a few weeks back and am finally climbing back into the thick of things. I would love to finish in the top 10 again this year, looking back to last year there aren't very many folks from the top 10 last year that are still in contention this year, except for jabber who finished 10 last year and is in 1st right now.

T_Ball finished 12th last year and is sitting at 206 this year! Ouch! ;-)

With all that said there were plenty of big misses on the last 2 contest and if the next 2 are as hard the entire board might shuffle around again.

Hard to pick a favorite, but nmbighorn, nontypical and wamuledeer all have a little lower number in their last drop column to use so they have a little more wiggle room than the rest of us there anyway.

Still could have plenty of movement with the next 2 contests though, desertbonehunter jumped all the way from 78th to 6th this week with some great guesses in both contests.

Good luck everyone! Nathan

Missing that 2nd contest is killing me, just can't come back from that. I'm just glad I was 12 inches off on contest 11. That was one fugly buck to score.

Thanks Nathan for the work you're doing.

I guessed 232 6/8ths and was 8" off. I can't believe I was that close. Now when I am in the field I will be confident in my scores.

that last contest was tough. i thought it was going to b a trick one where they look huge but with a lower score. turned out they are huge. i guess my scoring system of first look and guess a score is not working so well

I was 14" off with the g2's and spread of buck # 10. It seems like once I thought I started to figure out how to score a buck from a pic I get my a$$ handed to me! This is a fun contest and I appreciate the gentleman who put this on. If you guys decide to do this again, count me in for a donation for a prize.

Just a heads up, I'm going to be VERY busy on Monday and Tuesday at work so if I don't get things updated until Wednesday please bear with me.

The timing on the end of the contest this year just happens to be probably my busiest time of the whole year.

Thanks, Nathan
