LAST EDITED ON Apr-09-12 AT 10:23PM (MST)[p]What do you think of this deer? Albino or just a white color phase deer? We were well over 1000 yards away

It was exciting to see this deer... out in the wild. I know it's just a deer... but what a cool/ unique experience.

Weird....... I have never seen a white deer like that one. but then again that was from a ways away. I have seen some albino deer up in Idaho by my cabin on bear lake. i will have to get the pictures i have and post em up. But they were definitely not that white, they are white but like an off white color. If you don't mind me asking if this dear was located up in northern utah? That is pretty amazing thing to see especially since its not an everyday thing you see you know.

Thanks for posting...anything unusual or out of ordinary is great stuff! I've never seen a white one; but a bit out of ordinary today, I saw a group of 8 does, 7 still in their winter gray, but one was kind of a blonde-looking...summer coat already! Cool to see!
Check this out...apparently there is a deer herd (white-tails)in Minnesota that are all white!

Definitely an albino. I ran into an albino fawn when I was young in the hills above Heber. Didn't know enough back then to even realize how special what I was seeing was. Should have kept tabs on that thing.

Very cool. There was a 3x3 albino in the Huntsville are several years ago, and a 2 point albino in Willard area at the same time.

We used to see albino deer above s.weber and east layton all the time but its been over 15 years since I seen the last one!

It was about 12 yrs ago I saw an albino doe east of Heber while archery hunting.Took me about 5 minutes to realize what the heck it was she came out all alone it was really cool. Then about 4 years ago I saw a road kill 2 point right off of geneva rd in Provo. Stopped to take a better look he had bright red eyes and was pure white.

Growing up near Tooele (UT) we had a lot of deer in our yard to eat off our apple and pear trees. One year there was an albino doe and the next year she came back with an albino fawn. We had people taking pictures out of every window in the house at them. It was cool and I'm sure something I'll likely never see again.

There was a white 3x3 Blacktail about 7 years ago near where I live in Northern California. I'm pretty sure he would have easily made P&Y minimum. I saw him on two different occasions, once from about 80 yards, and once about 150. The first time I saw him, I thought it was a goat running through the star thistle.

I don't think he was a true albino, but he looked just like the one in your video.

Rumor has it he was poached that year.

Very cool that you were able to see that deer!

Best of Luck,
Jeff
