LAST EDITED ON Jun-20-12 AT 03:57PM (MST)[p]I am out of town right now but send me your contact info in a PM. I live right by the area. It can be a fun hunt but that all depends on your expectations.

What are reasonable expectations of this unit on national forest land? I have wondered about the unit because it is limited but can be drawn with a reasonable number of points. I don't have horses but don't mind to walk/pack a deer out a couple of miles.

Thanks.

I like that answer. Reminds me of that age old fishing question: where'd you catch him. In the lip...

I don't have a ton of time now but this is a quick run down from my observations. If you hunt hard on STATE and federal land you could see 170 class bucks. There are bigger but 170 is doable. It is easy terrain and I see 28 inch 4x4 class deer in the unit every year. I have seen a few much bigger by the private in the forest service area. You will see a lot of deer and it's a fun hunt. Set you sights on a 160-170 class 4x4 and you will have fun. You might do better but I wouldn't consider it clasic "trophy" hunt.

Utah,
I could use your help if you don't mind. My dad hunted this area before, but it was 20 years ago. I won't shoot anything below 170, but sure would be fun to chase them around. Here is my email.
