Wyoming Hunt Units Google Earth File

I'd appreciate some feedback on this kml. I'm going to make these available for download and Wyoming's maps have always been a bit poor.

If you have google earth on your computer, click the link and the file should download. It has the Wyoming Deer hunt units for the entire state, including regions, LQ areas, and closed areas for 2012 hunt year.

Please let me know how you think it could be improved.

That is the coolest contribution to this site in a long, long time. I drew a tag for a new area in Wyoming this year and have been looking for exactly this type of thing.

Another thing that would be really cool would be to identify the wilderness areas.

I made it, but I didn't have to hand draw all of the lines. I've made a few adjustments. This is by far the most complex of the Wyoming ones to make. Others should be coming soon. Email me if you're interested in downloading them. (Email is [email protected]) I'll probably put them on an FTP type site for free download. Wyoming has never had very good maps IMO so I decided to make something that can be used as I do a fair bit of armchair scouting on Google Earth.

That is deadly! I have created something like this myself but is nowhere near the detail that this is. If you released the .kml file with BLM overlays, I think that you would have just as many enemies as friends! lol. Thanks for the file!

I'm working on other species and states as time allows. This is a fairly time consuming process to build all of these, so sadly it falls below a few other priorities.

Land ownership/management is something that can be done as this information is available.
