ask him about his partnership with Rick SEARS. I would be very careful. Jim is a nice guy, good hunter and fun to be around- but search for information about Rick sears and you will see he is a crook, wanted by colorado game and fish, can not even get his outfitters liscence (which is why he partners up with people like Jim)
Your probably hunting out of Colorado city?

LAST EDITED ON Jul-12-12 AT 12:07PM (MST)[p]+1000 I just looked up Rick Sears and there are reams of negative reports, including outright theft of $1000 from a hunter's money clip while he was out hunting. Sears has had his outfitting/booking licenses suspended, most saw no animals during entire hunts, and the list goes on. Most reviews called him an outright crook!

Sounds like a guy could literally lose his shorts hunting with that crew.

there is so much I would like to post.
just to let you know , JIM HILL , from what I know is a great guy.
BUT he is also partners with Rick SEARS, and RICK SEARS is THE MOST WANTED ILLEGAL OUTFITTER in colorado.
just so you know, I am not trying to sabotage your hunt, but all those pictures in those mail outs are so bogus it's not even funny.
FIRST he is a KING of big pictures. go ahead and add 80-100 inches on every animal in there.
SECOND- DO NOT associate any of the places the pictures they say they were killed in TO THE PLACES THEY WERE REALLY KILLED!
ALL this aside, and since this was about jimmy hill-
I spent a thanksgiving dinner with jim and his family while we guided together. HE is a SUPER great guy! IF you could make sure he was no longer with Rick SEARS, than it might not be a gamble.

I got to thinking yesterday, God forbid LOL, after I made that post about googling Rick Sears. He's the SOB that my retired dentist and good friend took a trip with in southern CO years ago and he came back with the same type of story that I read in those reviews. If this Hill is such a great guy, I'm wondering why he would associate with a lying, cheating, crook!

Really a weird deal but maybe he cheats only dentists because mine got taken to the cleaners by Rick Sears in 2009, according to doc. nothing was as he was told the entire hunt.
