"west point buck"

I know it was killed... I have not seen any photos of it though. I'd sure love to see the mount...

He was killed? I have been looking for him every night for the last three weeks? Was he killed in that field or back on the island?

There are still about a half dozen good buck left out there. I saw them last week.

He was never an island deer. He was not killed in that field. Once they cut the corn he left it.

Did he live out in the swamp out behind the pheasant farm? I have not seen any good deer in that field this year just a couple forkys.

I have also not seen any giants this year, maybe one or two decent ones with a little more growth. I was told he was killed near his home field, with a rifle. I know he was killed legally, apparently by the land owner himself. Apparently police were called when it all went down, but it was found to be a legal kill. There were no violations. He was killed during legal hours, with a legal weapon, in a legal area, by the landowner.

I'd sure like to see some more this year...

Well YELUM- he was harvested west of 4500, which is actually "Unincorporated Davis County" and not actually part of West Point City... In the unincorporated areas of Davis County, it is legal...

That buck literally spent months sliding between Syracuse (no hunting) to West Point (archery is ok), to that unincorporated area where all is okay... He got a little unlucky...

Thanks BR. I wasn't aware of the unicorp info.

Ya, the grass was greener west of 45, but the bullets hit harder. lol Guy was at the right place at the right time, while the deer was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I remember seeing the pics on here when he was in the field, by chance do you know the search terms to find the post with those pics or have any handy? That was a cool buck.
