My honest opinion, I think he is closer to 34. If I take an average deers ear spread and give it 22 inches and the left ear in the pic is out straight, hes another 6 I think past that. So total of 12 with both sides = 34. Just a guess, but my guess is always good for me. BTW, my wife doesnt understand how I measure thing either, so take that into consideration.

I fail to see how that deer goes what he says when it looks like he's close to 12" just between his browpoints alone. That buck has to be close to or better than 30" IMHO.

If i were a betting man, i'd take the "under" on that buck. I believe he's not as wide as one might first think. Sure he might be more but i'd guess him 24" to be on the safe side.

Kinda what I was thinking.. 26" tops... People who measure ears do so when the animal is dead and they pull them out as far as they go... When they are alive and on alert (most common deer pics) they are cupped forward some and no where near as wide as flat and spread out...

Not really. Those who thought greater than 30" were, well, just plain dumb. The best bet is between 24" and maybe, maybe, maybe 28". So basically between 24" and 27" So split that difference and you get 25".

I still say 23".

Ears are not layed out and he is a youngish looking deer to me. I would say 24 inside and 26 outside.
