I was out working yesterday and ran upon this old timer that had 2 sets of antlers that he had shot in the 60's. The big non typical was shot it SW Wyoming. The typical, which I didn't get a great pick of was shot near Montrose, CO around the same time. And measured 32 1/2". The wyoming buck was by far the larger of the 2 though even though the he wasn't as wide, his forks were deep and he had great mass. Just thought I'd share with those who will appreciate.

He had some incredible mass, Real soda cans. My guess was about a 185-190 typical frame with about 15-20 inches of non typical. I was measuring with the boards on the wall and with his cheaters my guess was about 30-31 inches outside spread. Giant front forks. Low ball non typical I figured about 200", high end around 210.

The bucks are ok............but that shirt!....where can I get one like that? What a stud, I'd like to shake that old duffers hand.

That WY buck looks almost identical to my Henry's buck and my buck scored 226". Awesome buck.

2 awesome bucks.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-12-12 AT 09:56PM (MST)[p]I cant believe SageAdvice wants to measure the "Ol Guy;" you'd think he would want to know the measurements of those outstanding Antlers instead...to each his own I guess - LOL!!

Just razzin' ya Sage!

?-ERock-> ?

Fair enough, i said it! :)

I loved to write short stories and such going way back when i was in school. My teachers usually gave me high marks for the story and content but marked me down pretty good on grammar. I figure most of you guys can figure out what i'm talking about, better than some others here, and though that "ol boy" might need a taping, that big ol buck is what i'm talking about.

The more i look, I'd put him up near 220" A pig of a buck with a awesome main frame, a once in a lifetime type critter right there!!
