My Hunt Is On!!!

Well, actually on Saturday. But, I arrived yesterday.

Went out this morning and found these bucks that I saw a couple weeks ago. The one with the inline has grown a couple inches in tine length over the past three weeks. They're not big bucks, but they're all I've seen so far.

It's really wet, humid, and cool down here and that's not good for the hunting. Oh well, gonna give it hell.

I want to try and get another look at this buck below. I took the picture below on July 11th. I have a feeling he could be pretty darn nice. The wide 4x4 is what I'll probably be trying to turn up. I think it could be a long, tough hunt.

Thinking it's Paunsy which is Utah. Could be wrong. If it is the Pauns, very surprised this all that founders turning up given his knack to get into above average bucks.

Ya, Paunsaugunt. I thought I'd be able to turn up a 200+ incher also, but no luck yet. I'm sure there are a handful in the unit, but the unit is big. It certainly isn't the type of place I love to hunt. I like the highcountry. But, I have the tag, so I'm going to give it hell.

The hunt is a month long. Maybe a giant will find his way to me.

We just got back and my son killed a nice heavey tall 3x4 with eye gaurds ...we did see one 200 but he was too smart... it was a great hunt...lots of memories and I would someday like to draw
the paunsagaunt myself!

Hey Brian, I was/am on the north end of the paunsy hunting
antelope. Only got as far south as Tropic res the first trip,
but, I'll be back down Thursday for a few days.

I'm camped 10 mins from Wilson peak. And I'm not sure if your
on the top plateau or not.....I kinda watched for you on the top.

Anyway, if you bump into my camp stop in !! here's a pic of it.

My wife harvested this antelope down there a couple days ago,
My boy still has his antelope tag to fill when we return,
The wife has a deer tag on the Dutton side as-well..

I've spent a ton of time on the Paunys..
Would love to visit if we happened to meet up......Randy.

Brian we seen a 200 " buck on the east road south of Badger creek......My son got to within 30 yards but did not have a shooting lane......it was an emotional roller coaster for him ...we seen the buck three time but could not get a shot...He is a Toad! Good luck on your hunt!
