Here's the buck I was lucky enough to take opening morning in the high country of northern Utah. I had been keeping a close eye on him all summer. He stayed in his routine one day too long and gave me a 48 yard shot from my blind. My arrow hit home and he only went 50 yards!!!! Huge thanks to my pal Matt Bateman who was with me all the way. You're a great friend! Thanks for all your help bro!!!

He's 31" wide, 8x7 that gross scores 213.

Good luck to all of you and shoot straight!! Kip

Dude you are a true stud!! I have followed your hunts through magazines, MM, Archery shop talk and seen entries in the Utah big game record books. Cameron hanes, Randy Ulmer,, You name it I don't care you rank way above that in my book. Getting it done with archery equitment on truly smoker bucks. What an awesome collection. Way to go that gives me alot of motivation, and inspiration for my hunts!! LE or general tag?

Holy Crappers!!!

Absolute Dandy. That deer has it all. Congrats and sounds like you deserve it!

For the love of the game

Thanks guys! Got him with a Utah general season tag (no limited entry), public land back-pack in high country hunt....and lots of luck!

Sounds like you paid your dues to make it happen. That's awesome! Congratulations. Were you North of Ogden area? Who is doing the taxi mount for you? just curious.

Kip!! Congrats man!! That is a beast. Way to get it done year after year.

Don't you have a couple bucks in that class now?
Major Congrats, that is beautiful.

I'll tell you who it was . . . it was that D@MN Sasquatch!

Hey !!!!!!!!!!!!!LUCKYSHOT!!!!!!!!!!!! How much would you charge to guide me on the rifle hunt??? Nice buck man

Congrat's to You and your Bro that's a GREAT buck. Sure going to make a beautiful wall hanger. Thanks for sharing the Pic. I'm think'n that buck along with a blow by blow summer scouting to the kill would make a great mag. cover story :) if you have the time to put a story together...That buck will be tough to beat.

I'm jealous!!! I'm still tring to get me one of those. My father told me, "Just be in the right place at the right time".

;-) Mickey Mouse Outfitters provides an experience you will never forget, because we always do it Micky Mouse style. We always guarantee shots. It might be at the ground or in the air, but it's a guarantee we are committed to.

Kip, way to go man! You work hard for all your animals and do it the way it should be done! This is another impressive specimen to add to your collection. If I recall correctly you have never had a limited entry deer tag.....Who needs one?! You're killing better bucks with general tags than most do with LE! I've been in on a few of those hunts where you have whacked other great bucks. This dude surpasses them all, a tough toss up between him and Superman! Way to go Kipper! Now we need to Uncle Beo down south to kill one of those smoker antelope this weekend! Congrats again!

Congrats on yet another true Monster! Like others have said, you get er done year in and year out. This latest one is a Beauty! WAY TO GO!

Kipp-

I have one request. Would you and Matt be willing to post pictures of all of the archery bucks that you have taken in Utah over the last 10 years--from Superman to this buck? I would love to see them all in one post because I know you guys have killed some dandies. Congratulations!

Impressive indeed!
Interestingly, on Friday night I watched truck after truck pull up to the rim of a canyon I was in...get out and glass for 5 minutes tops, then head off. The whole time there was a real nice buck feeding in the brush in the canyon and no one, saw it.
Very few of us want to dedicate the time and effort that undoubtedly you take to consistently locate and pattern giants like that, but it is nice to know they are still out there!
Congratulations on another great buck!

Thanks guys for all the congrats and the kudos! I'm still on cloud nine!!! Here are a few more photos of this buck from scouting trips this summer. Sorry that the quality is not the best. I was glassing him from 1000 yards away. A few more field photos as well.
Thanks again! Kip

Just another day in the bowhunting life of Kip!! You're the man, and you sure deserve it with the work you guys put in. Congrats again!

Kip,
You seem to get the job done on a regular basis through your hard work. Congrats AGAIN on a great buck. Well done man!

Your uncle "J" was in my office again the other day and we sometimes talk about your exploits. I grew up next to Don's family which included dickindirt and your dad "B". Dickindirt and I were the reason the pheasant (and anything else that moved) population was always well controlled around town.

Sorry to hear about your aunt Suz. You have my condolences.

Thanks for sharing your pics,
Zeke

What an awesome buck!! Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

I too would love to see pictures of all the archery bucks you have taken over the past few years.

You guys earn those bucks and go to a limit that few would ever understand! Hats off man! Congrats!

"You skin grizz?"

If you dont mind me asking Kip, what's your bow/arrow/spine set up? Looks like a Matthews Ez7 or the Z7? I have the same sights. Just curious. Im shooting a Mattews Ez7 same sights w/ a whisker biscuit and easton axis 500 spines. Montec broadheads.
Congrats to a massive OIL buck.

THAT is awesome. Thanks for sharing. Your handle might be LuckyShot, but it is obvious you made your own luck here. Nice work!

Way to go Kip! You worked your tail off for him and you got him! Very proud of you bro. Absolutely amazing.

Great buck Kip! How cool to shoot one from a blind in the high country. Sounds like lots of work and effort went into another huge buck for your collection. Once I heard you were after another big one I knew he was in trouble. I wish you could at least wait until day 2 or something and quit making us all look so bad!! Congrats again.
