Big Velvet Typical

A buddy sent me a few short vid clips of a buck he has his eye on and using my lackluster-at-best skills I managed to get a couple vidcaps off there. I used a free program so I apologize for the watermarks on some of the photos. I was able to "clone/heal" to remove some of the watermarking so you could see him better.

What do you guys think he might score?

>Big is an understatement! WOW!!!

LOL.....yeah, when I first saw the video I think I used the term "Smoker".

I don't like to guess...tell me where he is and I'll get him on the ground so we can accurately score him :>)

Seriously, that buck is a PIG!

I believe this buck hits that magical 200" mark........hopefully my friend can get a MUCH closer look at him saturday morning on the muzzy opener. He's got it all including 4" G-1's which unfortunately you can't see in these pics. Just wondered if some of you more qualified field judges thought I was on the mark with my guess.

I agree that this buck will go over 200"...which is awesome considering he looks to be a straight typical with no trash. Incredible buck!

I've always said that you will KNOW if you ever see a 200" typical buck............but somehow even when you do, admitting to yourself you are seeing what you know you are seeing is not always easy. No outright visible deductions on this deer either. As with many colorado units this buck resides in a unit you can hunt ever other year with a bow. Great growth for a drought year............and to think he is down 27% on horn growth this year!!! LOL

That sure looks like a 200" buck to me. As for the drought and poor antler growth. I've seen more big bucks this year than I have in the last 20.

There's always next year

The buck looks to have big, deep forks so I can definitely see him score around 200". Just a great buck.

Eldorado

I was completely joking on horn growth being down this year.(27% based on commments made on here this summer)
The buck was taken yesterday and grosses 203". I will post harvest photos as soon as I get them from my buddy.
