I was drawn for an Arizona rifle hunt in a unit that has the potential for a decent buck. This hunt will be from December 14-31. My question is what are some good tactics to use during the rut to help locate and bring in good bucks? Does it help to use calls or rattling? I am planning to do a good deal of glassing and probly a lot of spot and stalk. I have need hunted this unit before but have been up a couple times and will be a few more to scout around. Mostly just want to make the most of this tag I got. There is only 25 tags for this hunt so the hunting pressure will not be there and also this is the first time they have offered a rifle hunt for mule deer in December and have not had archery hunts in there for a few years now. Any tips or stratagies would be greatly appreciated.
