shot this buck 2nd day of the muzzleloader season. Been scouting all summer and archery hunting for a month and never saw him until the night before the muzzleloader opener. Then it all came together on the 2nd day of the hunt! pretty exciting!

I spent too many years as a youhngster huntin small private land- now I have no idea where to find deer like this on public land in Utah... LOL This is a stud buck, a buck of a lifetime for OTC tag holders...

i don't have any velvet pics. He was a new buck i hadn't seen until the night before the muzzleloader opener. I'll for sure post the pics of the mount though!
 
Can't believe no one has ask about score on this buck yet. I'm guessing 194 to 196 gross. I am not a person that thinks the score is what makes a animal great but its always fun to know. This is a great buck.
 
Sweet buck! Love the extra trash around the eyeguards. Actually, I love everything about that buck, lol. fatrooster.
 
i gross scored him between 192 and 195... but i'll have an official scorer score him in a little while. He definitely grew once i got up to him!
 
Congratulations - that is a stud! Most guys will never even lay eyes on a buck like that in the field.
