The deer are yet to drop into the area we are most familiar with, so I am trying to figure out plan b. Does any one have any info they would like to share on where to locate good numbers of deer on this unit. My son has a tag and I would like to get him on a decent buck. Thanks for you help.

About the only place you WON'T find deer on this unit now is on the Parowan Front! I've seen them at Yankee Meadows, around Asay Knoll, on the Red Desert, Turkey Track, Tippetts Valley, Henrie Knolls, Mammoth Creek, Sidney Valley, etc. and that's mostly just from driving the roads. Plan B should be nothing more than throwing a dart at the map. With the large amount of rain on this unit (in spite of the drought in the rest of the state), the deer and elk are scattered and there aren't a lot of them in any one place, but they are there, nevertheless. Just get out and hunt!

Elkfromabove nailed it. The deer are pretty much all over you just need to hike, glass, and be patient..

Try trolling the Blue Springs area and about 100ft from shore on the North side. Use leaded line as the fish are about 20-30ft deep. good luck...
