LAST EDITED ON Oct-21-12 AT 07:26AM (MST)[p]Hey Captain Jack, is that you? Did you kill that buck?

Do you know who this individual is? The answer is no. Yet you have posted a picture of him and his trophy? Don't you think that if he wanted his picture all over the internet, he would do it himself?

The bottom line is, if it's not your buck, your hunt, your story... don't put it up for the world to see without permission. I think that is a fair enough rule to follow, isn't it?

That looks just like a big bruiser I was watching all summer (well July and part of August), then when the archery opener came around, he was no where to be found. I just figured he found some deep dark hiding place to wait out the hunts. Man I wish that was me with that buck, but congrats to the successful one.

eatmoregame:

I think the bottom line is that if you killed the deer and didn't wanted it all over the internet, don't email/text it to others.

I get tired of other people trashing guys on here for posting pics that they have received in emails or pics. "Dont post my photos without my permission, I was going to write a cover article for Eastmans, Trophy Hunter, etc and now you are hurting my chances..."

If you are dumb enough to send pictures or give the locations of kill sites via text or email, don't be surprised when people post them to the internet.

Bottom line is if you don't want them all over the internet, DO NOT email them out. If you do, don't b!tch and moan when you can no longer control where they are posted.

Relax eatmoregame although i do see your concern but this picture has been passed around on cell phones for the last month. If they didnt want people to see it they shouldnt have sent the picture out. Besides its just a picture everyone wants to hear the story so if the hunter wants to wait till the pictures and story is in the " magazines" fine let us all wait till then for the story.

That is a great buck. Congrats to that guy. Im glad they decided to send pics out on the internet so we all can see it.

Congrats to the lucky hunter...

eatmoregame,

Do you know the hunter? Do you know who took the photo? Maybe you should keep it to yourself and if they want to complain, they are big boys and can do it.. Its a digital world man, if you send a text, it's going to end up here. That's all :)

Hello all. I figured that one of my pics would hit here sooner or later. At first I was a little bothered that it got posted on here because I didn't do it. I would have had a little different intro but oh well...if you can't beat them join them...right?;-) Easy on old eatmoregame. He's my buddy just looking out for me.

Browtine....you know who I am.

This is a dream come true for my dad, two brothers, and myself to say the least! We have quite a bit of history with this buck. We just had to go through all the highs and lows that one usually does when chasing a MONSTER MULEY to have all things come together.

It all came together for us opening morning of the muzzleloader hunt. I was the fortunate one to pull the trigger but owe a lot of credit to the best hunting team I could ever have to hunt with, My DAD, Blake, and Dustin.

He is an 11x8, 31" wide, and scores 242...I know it's crazy that he is still in the velvet but we will take him however he is.

I would imagine that you could trace it back to whomever is the owner of the camera that took that photo..........Just Saying.

I'm betting it was texted to him just like the other guys who got it.

Remmag, I apologize if I made you upset or somehow took your thunder. I didn't post up your picture for the "glory" as someone on here alluded to earlier. I don't do Facebook, or tweeter, or even MySpace so I don't even care to see how many comments or likes I can get below a post. If I wanted the glory I would have photo shopped my head on both of the bodies in the picture and said I was the guide and the shooter! I got this picture through email and text. As I looked at the picture it seemed that the buck was killed during the archery hunt because of the velvet and no real exit wound. so I figured it wasn't a big deal to post it. Especially since I got it from two different people. I Apologize to the hunter and his party, but not to his buddies who probably got asked if they sent it around and are trying to cover their tails and get all upset and trying to make me the "bad" guy.

This is the way I see it. It's a picture of two great hunters with a great buck. No one's life is threatened by it so for those of you acting like it is take a chill pill. A buck like this is as majestic of a buck as you'll ever see. I dare say .009% of hunters will ever see a buck this big, let alone kill it. I didn't disclose any other info that I got because whether it was right or not its pretty sacred stuff to me. But for us hunters who are not able to get out and hunt right now because of other obligations seeing a picture like this does the body and mind good! Plus it's fun to enjoy the success of others. So congrats to the hunter and the whole party involved I hope you guys have even more success next year!

This is exactly why there are not as many success photos on this site anymore. Everybody and their "powder blue shirt" wearing crew gets upset if a pic leaks to the peons of the ordinary www before a big payday on Eastmans!
Great accomplishment on a gagger buck

A BIG congrats to my young friends for taking such a fine trophy!

These guys can get it done and have been there to help me on a couple hunts with their knowledge and/or eyes.

Thanks guys and tell your dad hello for me. It's been quite a while since I've seen him.

7remmag, I didn't recognize you in the photo! Congrats on a super buck! Once in a lifetime for sure. It's photo's like your's that make this place what it is. I only jumped in because I think everyone here wants to see these photos. We have removed photos in the past if the hunter asks us to.

I saw that photo in a text before it was posted so I assumed it had made the rounds. Can't believe I didn't recognize you in the pic. To be honest I didn't look behind all that tine!

so was this a general season muzzy buck, CWMU kill, or LE unit? With the history sounds like a general area. Gagger buck either way CONGRATS! My dream buck!
