Found 'the one' today. Anyone have advice on a good taxidermist? I'm in Provo so location in the Utah/Salt Lake county areas would be best, if there's a good one. Price s always a factor in my world, but would quibble with $100 extra for a great job.

Story and pics to come when I fully return to society.

Justin Parduhn at Humphries Archery In American Fork. He does excellent work.

Monarch mountain, Curtis Wilson 801-518-2033 he does great work and is a class act. I think you can see his work on the taxidermy link on MM.

It is usually worth spending a few hundred more for quality work, you get what you pay for and most $500 deer mounts turn out to be a regret.

I had Chad mount this as a shoulder pedestal in 2009 and just had him add the pedestal this month. 1st place professional division 3 years in a row 2009, 10, 11, and 1st place in the masters division this year, all at the hunt expos. Also 1st place in the muel deer challenge this year

I use Chad Evans. He is the owner of Evans taxidermy. His nnumber is 801-230-8039. I shot my best buck of my life time this year and he is doing it. He does great work at a fair price. My buck scored 204 and is in the this forum. Its several pages back under Pats 204 Colorado buck. I dont think you would be sorry if you gave him a call.

Paul pennie does an amazing job. He is located in alpine.

I'll tell you who it was . . . it was that D@MN Sasquatch!

Chad Evans does my families whitetails each year and did a life size Mountain Goat that turned out incrediable. He does great work and you will not be disappointed. Give hom a call and hopefully Pats buck is in there so you can check it out!

I've used above camp taxidermy in Lehi with great results. I've seen many paul pennie mounts up close and he does awesome work. I saw a lot of Curtis's work at the expo last year so monarch taxidermy is a great choice also. I don't think you would be disappointed with any work done by the three I mentioned.

I prefer Sam Bodell of Utah Studio of Taxidermy out of Lehi. He really pays attention to the details and he has a quick turnaround. 801-602-9229

I use Sage Basin, Mike does phenomenal work and he's in American Fork. I've seen Curtis' work at the expo and it is also top notch.

Paul Pennie, Curtis Wilson and Kelly Memmott (AAA Taxidermy) are my votes.

I don't think there is any other quality
so essential to success of any kind as the
quality of perseverance. It overcomes
almost everything, even nature.
