Thanks man! Canon Rebel T3i. I use the Vortex DSLR adapter fr the 200 yd to a mile type shots.

Part 2 may be next year! My buddy had pneumonia and may not get back out there this week! I'll keep you updated.

The slow motion shot looks like hit the rock and then the buck, you see the buck move.

It did. I watched it and I think it hit him hardest below the joint i his leg. No blood. Probably hurt like a bee sting!

That part where you were shooting at the coyote was hysterical.
I also liked that little editing sequence where you were showing the guy glassing and then showing the bucks--it sort of took you in the hunt a little more than just showing digiscope footage. Mixing in the fisheye lens going across the ridges made for a great effect as well. Same with the slow mo on the shot. The dialog and music you included worked really well. Cool find on the cougar kill. Overall, just a very cool hunt. You need to make more videos!

BIGJOHNT--

I shoot a Remington Sendero 300 Ultra Mag. We handload 180 gr Sciroccos over 87.5 gr of RL22. Vortex Optics sent me that new tactical scope to test. It is unbelievable. The tube on that sucker is 35mm and produces a bright field of view. Its very crisp turret-wise and I dont mind the weight!

Ya I know you like heavy things . ;-) I have a Sendero, I hate to carry it . I thought it looked like you where feeding that thing with 300 rum's. I shoot a 300 tejas a modifed 300 rum. Those scope rings looked huge in your video. I knew something was up. But I couldn't put my finger on it. When will they be available to the public. I am looking for another scope for a new 50 cal. It doesn't matter how much it weights. The gun already weights 30 lbs.

Your videos inspire me to get into shape and do a little more hiking with my boys. Your dad has almost 10 years on me. So I know how it is keeping up with you yougsters. Good for him up there sleeping on those rocks !

I have to fess up....it was probably my fault that the shooter missed that buck. Honestly, I didn't have him as good as the skyline picture shows and I was telling the hunter to hold off.

Thank goodness Zac never listens to me:>)

I love the hunt - the "kill" is always secondary, just a bonus to the overall experience. I hope I can make it up the mountain until the day that I die! If I die on the mountain...that's ok too!
