Im looking for some help...my brother in law has a Box Elder deer tag and has never shot a deer before. I told him if I was done hunting I would take him tomorrow. I hunted this area as a kid but that was long ago. He doesnt care what he shoots we just want to see deer and of course I dont know if there is much public property. Ive spent an hour or so on goole earth but that doesnt tell me what I want to know. Please pass on any info you can on where to take him. If you have another idea that is within the Box Elder unit please let me know. Thanks in advance for any info

Good luck man, we've been out here all freaking week grouse creek, raft rivers pilot mountain. It's either overrun with people on there stupid quads or there's no deer. All those extra tags this year really f'd things up out here.

I haven't seen that many people in Box Elder county since there were actually deer there. Saw a few bucks, including a nice 4x4 come off the Raft Rivers, though.

We have hunted there since the late 70s but We will be hunting another unit next year.

Get out and hike Johnson Creek and you should see some.
