Not too tough.

He's there. No joke. Yeah the pic went whacky when I uploaded it. I'll throw another one on. Hang on...

Any better?

Hurry up! He knows you are there. You are 210 yds away, with about a 30^ down-hill shot. If you try to get closer for your muzzy, you're pretty much screwed if the thermals change. BTW- you caught him standing just before he bedded. But you weren't able to get a good look at what type of buck he is. You know he's there, you and our buddy both saw him and know he didn't slip out. Clocks tickin'.....He could bust at any second.

very far right of the picture on the edge just below center. Bang. Blurry picture hard to see...

I have one more pic....but it's a complete gimmie. I'll wait a bit longer. I wanna see if BCBoy can spot this bugger. He's good at finding them in the thick stuff.

I thought this was an easy one!!!!!

total shot it the dark, the photo is to small to see for sure.

This oughta clear it up a bit.

You better find him now! You have about 1 minute before he figures out what's about to happen. He's probably 3 yrs old, maybe 4, so he's played this hide and wait game before. Remember he knows exactly where you and your hunting partner are. He's playing chicken with you.

Assuming this buck is up to your standards; do you take 212 yd shot, while he's bedded, or hope he stands long enough for a standing shot? Or....do you try to move in a bit closer? Remember, this is a muzzy tag... With a centerfire, he's lights out already.

On the general anything hunt you don't have a chance if theres not lead in the air. Better make up your mind now or some other tard is going to shoot it.

Heck most tards on the rifle hunt would have already shot everything and anything that even looks like a buck in that photo.:)

If I was huntin' this elusive buck, I would shoot in all these areas with my 6 shooter muzzy. I would either hit him or scare him closer to camp...

I just opened this thread and thought I could see him in the last photo, just to the left of the top of the pine tree.

Agreed, laying uphill, looking over his back.

I may be dumb, but I can't see a buck in there. But your game does pose a question for me: You stated that you spotted him just before he went into his bed but you didn't get a good look at him and don't know what kind of buck he is. Under your hypothetical, if we don't know what kind of buck he is, why are we in such a hurry to determine if we're going to shoot or not?

I'm not a trophy hunter but I'm also not going to start letting lead (or non-lead) fly if I don't even know what I'm looking at.

Hunter_614, you got it man! Nice job! Maybe Founder will give you a hat! :)

Here's a couple more shots of him.

Now...do you take him? 18" 3x4? I would have on the muzzy hunt. Or at least tried.
